Time- Not Enough Hours In A Day?

No matter whom you are or where you live or what you do, we all have the same amount of time. Don’t believe me? We all live one day at a time. Each of us has 24 hours. Each of us will wake every morning, and go through similar morning rituals that start our day.
However, that’s where it ends for the real movers in shakers. There are those who seem to get so much more done with their time. While others, seem to be in a rut and spinning their wheels. So what gives? Why do some people seem to have tons going on yet still seem to accomplish all of it? Here is a list of what you can do better to manage your time:
- Organization. You can’t possibly achieve your short term goals if you don’t have a plan. The night before, write down items that you want to get done everyday. Strike them off as you go along. Making a list will keep those items fresh in your mind. It will also hold you accountable so you don’t lose focus.
- Get rest. You can’t possibly have the energy to accomplish what you need if you’re feeling tired and lethargic. Make sure you get at least 7 or 8 hours sleep each night. Not only do you wake up refreshed. You relieve stress. If you’re working out, it’s also the best time you build muscle and let your body recover from the exercise.
- Start off right! Don’t go to bed so late you wake up and sleep in. You’re already starting your day off behind, stressed out, and out of control. As you plan everything else in a day, play your downtime and rev up time. Waking up a little earlier gives you time to look at your list and prepare at a pace that suits you. It also sets a tone for the rest of your day.
- Build your team. In order to get things done, you have to decide if all the things are things you do yourself, or you’re going to delegate to others. The team around you will determine how well you can manage all the takes and how much you can do in a day. Be realistic. Furthermore, be realistic about your team. Just because someone is your friend or family member, doesn’t mean they are going to help you get to where you need to be. You may have to make some tough choices, and some friendship may be strained. However, in order to fulfill your happiness you have to be honest. Be sure those around you inspire, by actions more than words.
- Be aggressive. Ever notice that successful people are always on the go. Some even seem like bulls in a china shop. But sometimes that’s a good thing. They don’t take no for an answer. They don’t get discouraged. They don’t see obstacles as setbacks. Nothing keeps them from what they want to accomplish. And that’s the mindset you have to have if you want to be successful. Don’t be arrogant, or rude. You don’t have to be loud. However, give the best possible effort, and you will see the results.
